About The Painting ...

'Hull Down'

A fishing schooner heads for the fishing grounds off Newfoundland's Grand Banks.

These graceful wooden hull sailing ships were known as Grand Banks Schooners and the men who fished from them were the legendary 'long line' fishermen.  They worked from flat bottom open dories in two man teams using long lines with many baited hooks.

This is an oil painting on stretched canvas, 12" x 16".  It is unframed.

The cost of packing and insured shipping to any location within the Continental U.S. is  $10.00
