About The Painting ... 'Silos Near Oley'
This painting was completed in September of 2006. I had driven along a country road near Oley, in Berks County, Pennsylvania, to find a covered bridge which I thought I might photograph for a later painting. I found the bridge, photographed it, and was returning home, when I drove past this barn and silos. I was immediately struck by the abstract geometric shapes it presented, and thought it might make for an interesting painting. Here's the result. I'm quite pleased with it. I hope someone else will share my sentiments and give it a home. I've framed it in a traditional gold frame and neutral colored museum board matting. The painting is on Arches 300 lb. Cold Pressed Paper with Winsor and Newton Professional Grade Paints The Image Size is: 12-1/2" x 10" - Overall with the Frame: 19-3/4" x 17" The price of this original painting is $350.00 The cost of packing and shipping to any location within the Continental U.S. is $10.00
