About The Painting ... 'Two Amish Barns' I painted this from a photo of two Amish barns in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I simplified the background and eliminated several trees, to place more emphasis on the stone barn. This particular barn is two hundred and fifty years old. Most of these old Pennsylvania stone barns were built by the early German and Mennonite immigrants and were built to last. Many like this are now located along highways which developed around them and are now used as commercial buildings. Not pretty, but at least they've survived. The painting is on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper with Winsor and Newton paints. The image size is: 8-1/2" x 12-1/2" Overall size with mats: 13-3/4" x 17-1/2" The price of this original painting is $300.00 Cost of Shipping to any location within the Continental U.S. is $6.00
