I'm a self-taught painter. I work primarily
in watercolors but switch to oils whenever I need a change of pace. I
live in the area of South-Central Pennsylvania where three of the most handsome
rural counties adjoin each other, Lancaster, Lebanon and
Berks.
Most of my studio time is spent painting the stone houses, barns and silos, farms and pastoral landscapes of this area of Pennsylvania. With its miles of preserved farm land, rolling hills and beautiful trees, the local countryside offers an abundant resource for the landscape painter. Despite being a landlubber, I also have a great love of the sea and ships. Lighthouses, Ocean Liners, Merchant Ships, Sailing Ships, and other historic ships are all subjects that I often paint in both oil and watercolor. I belong to the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, The Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts, The Lancaster County Art Association in historic Strasburg, Pa., as well as the celebrated Artsbridge Group of New Jersey. I exhibit primarily through the Art Associations and sell my work here on the internet, at local shows and now on ebay where my wife and I have successfully been selling antiques and collectibles for more than 7 years.
